Port Douglas has many wedding photographers but there is one who truly stands above the rest. His style, visual acumen, and ability to capture the most intimate and wonderful photos at just the right time has to be Shaun Guest of https://www.portdouglasphotography.net/ – Port Douglas Wedding Photography. The others just don’t compare, at all.
Sadly Shaun’s old site had some serious issues. Having been Hacked at least twice and domain jacked at least once Shaun was having a hard time not only show casing his work, but keeping a listing in Google. He turned to Coral Sea IT for help; as with the old dev the issues kept re-occurring and he couldn’t get on top of them whilst also being a full time photographer. Esp one who photographs in many locations, not just Port Douglas.
Heaps of Content
Now having been in business for a long time Shaun had accumulated a huge portfolio of imagery and content and so just starting over would have been a huge hit. That’s usually the safest and easiest way to deal with sites that have been compromised or attacked frequently. So we devised a strategy to build Shaun a brand new site, but also analyse and preserve his amazing cache of work without bringing along the nasty hacks / hi jinks which had occurred. We think the end result is great, and to be honest there’s no better way to describe it than Shaun’s own words. Left as a review on True Local for Coral Sea IT
Words are inadequate for the professional service that I’ve received from Dave at Coral Sea IT. Seriously knowledgeable and always helpful at all sorts of rude hours of the day and night ( and early morning ) when I’ve called on him for assistance. My website was 10 years old and needed a complete overhaul as it had been hacked and hijacked so many times over the past few years. It was still JUST ranking ok but was looking old and taking 30+ seconds to load, no customer will wait that long for a site to load. Rather than build a new site I had to rebuild the old one so I could retain what good was left of it. A MASSIVE task. Dave didn’t skip a beat in getting right onto it. He worked tirelessly and always came through with the best advice. I’m a photographer and a visual control freak. Dave slotted right in with my vision and always provided constructive pro’s and con’s so I knew what the right visual/technical balance was to make my website work hard and flawlessly. I seriously cannot recommend his service highly enough. Now that we’ve done most of the work on my QLD Photography site, we are going to begin on my next site. The pressure release that I’m feeling from his service is worth every cent of his extremely reasonable fee. Dave genuinely wants to help, if you need some web or IT service then contact Coral Sea IT you’ll be blown away.
Shaun’s THE one
If you are looking for Wedding Photography, or frankly, photography in general, Shaun is who you want to turn to full stop. I’ve even started telling potential other clients that if they need imagery, and you do need great imagery on today’s internet, engage Shaun of https://www.portdouglasphotography.net/ – Port Douglas Wedding Photography.
He doesn’t just do Port Douglas, in fact he goes all over Australia and perhaps beyond to capture some of the best photos one can imagine. We’re talking Cairns, Palm Cove, Port Douglas, and even far reaches down south in Victoria as well as elsewhere. He’s oft in very high demand.
Thank you Shaun for the review, but more importantly the chance to work on your site and showcase your amazing work. It was a pleasure to develop this site, save your content and boost you in Google.
That’s right, after going live with the new site Shaun’s site has climbed many rankings to top of “magic box” now and second on a specific Port Douglas wedding photography search – which is/was quite a feat given the nature of the existing site and that there’s another domain literally named the same which he has to compete against. That’s hard when to do when there’s a domain named exactly what a search would be.
And we’ve only just started the tuning. Triage is over, new site is up and working well, and is now secured behind SSL / https / http2 whereas none of the competition is doing anything like this. We’ll now move to SEO and other tuning.
